Temple demo: Residents march with cow’s head

It was quite disappointed and demeaning towards Muslim when
the “March with cow head” incident happened.
I actually quite interested in Islam’s teaching which
instigated me to read and study with learning heart when there is
articles and information regarding this religion.

Nik Aziz and Raja Petra did impress me much and
give me a new perception towards Muslim and what actually
Islam is all about. As a curious and hippy Cina man like me started to understand
that Islam is actually very cool and understanding religion.
Especially everytime Tok Guru Nik Aziz speaks,
inevitably mature and meaningful. I always anticipate what he gonna say next.

Raja Petra was right, there is some ludrious and hyprocite who pretend to be
a real muslim. I was litterally offended and quite doubt about Islam teaching when
the ‘Cow Head’ issue erupted.

Some 50 residents enraged with the proposed relocation of a Hindu temple to their area staged a noisy protest with a severed cow’s head this afternoon.

The residents – from Section 23 in Shah Alam – who gathered after the Friday prayers, placed the head outside the gates of the state secretariat building for a short period before removing it.

“Where is Xavier? This head is for him,” shouted one of the protesters in reference to Selangor executive councillor Dr Xavier Jeyakumar.

To be honest, i was startled and astonished to the max.
Even there’s conflict in issues or unwanted problem between religions,
do we really have to be so insulting and disgracesful to others people believes?

Khairy speaks well, “What if they burn Quran over the mosque?”

Calling on the protesters to reflect on their action, he asked: “How would you feel if the proposal to build a mosque in a non-Muslim area – which is already happening – leads a group of non-Muslims to burn and stomp on the Quran?”“Would not the Malays rise with anger? If yes, then parading with a cow’s head is just as insulting?” he added.

Khairy warned that such emotional acts could jeopardise peace in the country.

“If the residents were dissatisfied with the proposal to build a temple in their area, they should have used the existing channels to air their grouses,” he said.

I always felt that religion is a belief that teached us to
respect each other and peace no war. I always interesed in Islam teaching too
but this incident did put a doubt on me towards everything i was curious about.

Make PEACE not WAR
